Fixed point photography
We have set up a network of fixed points throughout Hardknott Forest and recorded their position. We return to take photographs from the same points every two years to show how the site is naturally regenerating. We are also able to note how variables such as elevation and soil type affect the process of habitat restoration, and we can see the visual impact of both the conifer regeneration and removal, as well as the return of native trees. This is a selection of photographs from the posts. Click on the first image and use the arrow or swipe to view the sequence.
